Tricky Questions - UK Parliament Insisting Mark Z. Appear
After Facebook's CTO answered questions before UK Parliament Digital Cultural, Media, Sport Committee, the Committee did not feel like it received the answers it needed. Therefore, they are now insisting that MZ appear on May 24 even if they have to issue a summons. There are many questions still outstanding related to a variety of Facebook practices and how they affect users privacy. They want specific names, details, numbers and percentages to specific questions about tracking, enforcement and management appointments. For example, they want to know the number of clicks or swipes it takes for users to complete certain actions.
This highlights further the need for companies to know their activities, terms and have tight and strict internal protocols for how it is handles its contract terms, all user data and user choices.
