Facebook's Detailed Community Standards - Updated Rules for Users
Facebook releases much more detailed community standards that govern what users can and can't post than was available previously. Facebook's designated employees, using their discretion, decide whether to leave posts up or take them down based on the standards. This is the first time Facebook is releasing its standards in full and is making a promise to continue updating them publicly as changes are made internally.
At the same time, a new appeals process has been rolled out that allows users to dispute removed or flagged content.
Facebook is continuing to try to regain trust with its users after the recent Cambridge Analytica data breach. It remains to be see whether this works. I wonder how consistently the rules are applied in practice.
