Books You Should Be Reading Now

There are many books out there to for self-help and how to be a better human. How do you know which one to pick and what is applicable to your situation? That's where BookAuthority comes in for the win. This site has curated reading lists based upon not only areas of learning like cryptocurrency and leadership, but also based upon specific individuals and their reading lists. For example, if you want to know books Jeff Bezos has read or recommended, you can scroll to his page and stock up on his list. Some of my favorites thus far involve leadership, ego, and social interactions.

1. Ego Is The Enemy by Ryan Holiday. “While the history books are filled with tales of obsessive visionary geniuses who remade the world in their image with sheer, almost irrational force, I’ve found that history is also made by individuals who fought their egos at every turn, who eschewed the spotlight, and who put their higher goals above their desire for recognition.” —from the prologue. The author has seen his share of successes and failures and seems to have learned even more through hardship than he did through the easy times.

2. The Score Takes Care of Itself by Bill Walsh, Steve Jamison, and Craig Walsh. This book is a guide on how to lead teams in a strong yet empathetic way. It teaches you how to be successful when dealing with people and organizations and how to steer clear of making work an idol.

3. How To Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie. Not only is this a guidebook for interpersonal relationships and how to have meaningful social interactions, it is fascinating for the sheer fact Dale Carnegie has anecdotal stories from some of the most famous people in the world. He was a people person who learned how to interact with people on a real and meaningful level.

These are only a few of the amazing books recommended on BookAuthority, but they are some that have truly changed the way I interact with and view the world. If you are having constant arguments or feeling as though your words are falling on deaf ears, then take a look at these books and you might see those situations turn into opportunities.
